Thought I would show you my latest make, it's a childs Lucite Flower and Glass Crystal Bracelet. I love the colours it looks so bright and funky. Off to make a matching necklace now xx

Where does the weekend go!!

Why does the weekend fly past in such a blur? What happened to lazy Sundays? I find myself asking myself these 2 questions every weekend now my weekends consist of shopping, football and catching up on housework that never got done during the week. I long for a really lazy pj day but it never seems to come.....anyway off for now, housework, washing and uniforms to do!!! x

New Bits

It's been a productive couple of days...I have been working on a new range of Lariat style necklaces...I love them, they are so versatile. They can be worn either strung low over your chest or up round your neck like a choker. they look amazing with simple t-shirts or a nice crisp white shirt. My only problem has been taking the pictures as they are so long. I might just have to ask a friend to model one so they can be seen properly..lol. I am loving the idea of incorporating some crochet or knitted flowers into some jewellery so I'm working on some designs at the moment. Have also bought a couple of Resin Pendants off Elibee Gifts that I want to use in a couple of new pieces. Fingers crossed i will be able to do them justice.

It's been a while!

I haven't been around for a few weeks so am coming back with a new refreshed attitude. I have been busy in my work room making some bits and pieces and am busy with some new ideas....am not saying too much about them at the moment....top secret..lol. I'm hoping to get to a couple of bead fairs in the next couple of weeks.....if i can persuade my lovely hubby!! Next month is June and it's when my Christmas planning starts...can't believe its come round so quick....seems like yesterday i was doing last years Christmas orders. One of my favourite stones at the moment is Natural Crystal Tourmaline. The colours are beautiful...so summery. I made a silver plated and gold plated bracelet using the stones yesterday and i think you'll agree the colours are stunning. My Workspace!!

I've finally got my own workspace, no more being elbowed by the kids or pestered....I can now shut myself away in my own little space. I just need to get a little heater to heat it up a bit as it's in my front porch and is a little chilly....I did buy one today and plugged it in and was greeted by a lot of sparks and hissing.....so will have to return it and try again :-( Roll on the nice sunny weather!!

Gold.

I'm not normally a huge fan of Gold Jewellery but I love Turquoise and Tigers Eye and they go so well with Gold. I have made up a new Necklace and Bracelet using all three. Gold findings, Tigers Eye rounds and chips and also chips and rounds in Turquoise. I'm really happy with the result. Semi Precious chip beads are amazing the fact that no two pieces are ever exactly the same is wonderful...it makes every piece of jewellery made with them have it's own look. Springtime Colours

I love the new seasons pastels and floral prints that are all around us at the moment, the colours are so fresh and pretty. I decided to work on a couple of pastel items today the first is a Ceramic Bead, Pearl and Crystal Necklace in Purples and Greens. I love the way the pearls and crystals carry the colour of the ceramic beads through the necklace. What do you think? I also made a co-ordinating Bracelet. I also made a Ribbon Bookmark. I have been using one for ages and adore it, I love the noise the cluster of beads make when I'm using it and it looks so nice sitting on my bedside table lol...The one I made today is made with lilac ribbon, Semi Precious Fluorite and Smooth Amethyst Beads and a couple of Butterfly Charms one saying "created for you".
